Kerala assembly session to start today

Monday, June 11, 2012: The fifth session of 13th Kerala Assembly will begin at 9 am on June 11.
The session will begin with a recital of the national anthem. The decision to start the session with national anthem was taken on the basis of the report of the committee appointed to submit recommendations on procedural reforms in 2009.
The committee had suggested that the practice in Parliament in this respect should be followed in the Assembly also.
The session is expected to be stormy as the house is meeting in the backdrop of the political upheaval caused by the murder of Marxist rebel and RMP leader TP Chandrasekharan.
