Four killed, 20 hurt as bus collides with truck

MALAPPURAM: Four persons were killed and 20 others were injured when the bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck at Venniyur in Malappuram Saturday.


Police said  the dead has been identified as Fathima (60) of Iringallur, Shahida, wife of Rasaq of Parppanangadi and Saddique Ali. The fourth person is yet to be identified.


Shahida’s sister Zeenath has been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital in a serious condition. The other injured were admitted to a private hospital Al Mas. Traffic on National Highway at Venniyur was disrupted for some time following the accident.
