Two held on charge of robbing passengers

KOCHI: The police arrested two people, including a woman, in connection with robbing of valuables from railway passengers from running trains. According to police, the arrested were identified as Jithesh (24), hailing from Pattambi in Palakkad and Reshma (20), native of Koppam also in Palakkad. The modus operandi of the arrested was boarding in the sleeper coaches of long-distance trains coming from other states and robbing valuables of those who were sleeping, the sources said. On interrogation, they admitted that they had robbed lap-tops, camera from two people on different occasions.
