State television awards announced


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Chalachithra Academy has announced its television awards for the year 2010. Under the feature film section, ‘Pranayathil Oruval Vazhthapedumvidham’, produced by Sanju Madhav and directed by
Manilal has been selected as the best tele film(less than 20 minutes). Manilal, who scripted the film was also adjudged as the best script writer. The best producer and director will  get a cash award of Rs 15,000, citation and a memento.
The best scriptwriter will get a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and a memento. Announcing the awards, Minister for Cinema K B Ganesh Kumar said here on Wednesday that on technical reasons, no tele-serials were considered for the award for the best and second best tele-serial during the year 2010.
He said that ‘Planning’, a tele-film (more than 20 minutes) by Kairali TV,  scripted and directed by Sudevan, was adjudged the best tele film. The award for the best producer and director carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000, citation and a memento. Script writer will get a cash prize of Rs 15,000, citation and a memento.
Best story writer is Santhosh Echikkanam, who penned the story ‘Panthibhojanam’. He will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, citation and a memento. ‘Mampazham’, poetry reality show, which is being telecast in Kairali TV, has been selected as the best TV show. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000, citation and a memento.
Comedy Stars (Asianet) was adjudged as the best comedy programme. Baiju G Melila was selected as the best director.  A cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively, citation and memento will be given to them. ‘Colours of the rain Gods’, by Rajesh Raghavan is the best tele film for  children.  Rs 20,000, citation and memento will be given to Rajesh Raghavan.
Achuthanandan and Ashok Kumar were selected as the best tele serial/ tele film actors. (Planning). Revathi is the best actress - Tik Tik( People’s TV). Theertha Raj is the second best actress. Jayesh is the best camera man. Rajesh Thrissur got the award for best editing. Navaneeth is the best child artiste.
Street lights, a TV show in Indiavision Channel, got the special jury award.
