Selvaraj may contest in Neyyatinkara

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: R Selvaraj may contest as the UDF candidate in Neyyatinkara. Many except K Muraleedharan, who attended the KPCC meet, agreed with the candidature of Selvaraj.

Many in the meeting opined that Selvaraj, who left CPM, should be treated well. Not only that a section of leaders proposed that he should contest in congress symbol.

Meantime, the meet opposed the fifth ministerial post to the Muslim League. Minister Aryadan Muhammed said the fifth cabinet berth will destroy communal balance in the cabinet. The berth may lead to the loss of Hindu votes, Aryadan said. If the berth is given, the public may think that the administration is in the hands of the Muslim League.

M M Hassan, T N Prathapan, K Muraleedharan, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan and M A Wahid were of the same opinion. The final decision will be taken by the high command.
