Sabarimala temple to close after Athazhapuja on Wednesday


 Monday, April 16, 2012: The eight-day Vishu festival at the Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala which began on April 10 will draw to a close after the Athazhapuja on Wednesday.
The Temple head priest (Melsanthi) N. Balamurali prepares ‘Vishukkani’ inside the sanctum sanctorum yesterday and darshan began at 4 a.m. on Saturday.The Vishukkani darshan will be held between 4 a.m. and 7 p.m.
The holy hillock witnessed a heavy rush as hundreds of devotees from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh had arrived.
