Russian folk dance performance on April 18


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Fifteen dancers from the Siberian city of Bernaul will perform at the Co-Bank Towers in the city on April 18. The Russian Cultural Centre here is organising the dance performance as part of the celebrations to mark the 65th anniversary of Indo-Russian ties. The dancers belong to the Larisa Studio.
The performance will begin at 6.30 p.m. and will end at 8 p.m., Russian cultural Centre administrator-in-charge S Anil Kumar said.
Larisa Studio, which won the European Dance Festival championships, will stage Russian folk dance forms as well as contemporary European dances, Anil Kumar said.
Alexander Rugatse and Yulia Pahmova, two pop singers famous in Russia, are also part of this troupe. Entry is free.
