KOCHI: Around 10,353 candidates attempted the NDA examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in Kochi on Sunday. Though 14,616 registered, only 10,353 wrote the exams at different centres across Kochi. Thiruvananthapuram is the other centre in the state.
Most of the candidates found the papers tough, especially the mathematics paper. “It was quite difficult,” said Karthik from Pathanamthitta, who wrote the exam at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kadavanthra. Bibin Chacko from Edathua who wrote the examination from Government Higher Secondary School, Elamakkara, also found the examination difficult. The examination is for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 129th Course, and for the 91st Indian Naval Academy Course commencing from Dec 2012.
