Minister assures steps over alleged University land scam

 Tuesday, April 24, 2012: Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb today said that the education department did not know anything about alleged Calicut University land scam.He said that necessary steps will be taken if any anomalies happened.
The involvement of Muslim League leaders in the trusts which obtained land from the University cannot be considered as a disqualification, Minister added.
Opposition leader V. S Achuthanandan had alleged that the University has granted 40 acres of land to the relatives of Minister of Social Welfare M K Muneer and Minister of Industries and Information Technology P K Kunhalikutty.
