Mayamohini collects Rs. 90 lakh at the box office

Mayamohini, directed by Jose Thomas and starring Dileep, Baburaj and Biju Menon in the lead is undoubtedly one of the biggest hits that the Malayalam film industry has had since a long time.
Dileep’s Mayamohini started with a massive opening and collected Rs. 90 lakh on the opening day at the box office on Saturday. Mayamohini opened in 70 screens and got a huge response from the public.
Considering that all of the previous films by superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal were disasters at the box office, Dileep starrer Mayamohini will turn out to be a major money spinner as far as the Malayalam film industry is concerned.
What’s more, after seeing the huge response of the audience, many theatres increased their number of shows. Though the makers of Mayamohini did not do much of promotion, word of mouth helped the film collect rs. 90 lakh on the first day of its release. .
Mayamohini is the first of the few films to release during the Vishu season.
