Load-shedding hours will not be increased: KSEB

Thiruvananthapuram: According to KSEB, load shedding hours may not be increased in the state. The Board feels that it can overcome the crisis with the existing half an hour power regulation.

The centre had allotted 50-mega watt more power the other day and Kerala will get 10 lakh units extra per day. Idukki reservoir stores water to produce 60 crore units.

A part of this power generated would be kept for June to meet the crisis in case of any delay in monsoon. But still 80 lakh units can be generated from Idukki and after combining the total power generated from all units, the board expects to tide over the crisis this summer.
