HC directs impartial probe into Shukkur murder case

Monday, April 09, 2012: The Kerala High Court had directed for an impartial probe into the gruesome murder of Abdul Shukkur (23), a Muslim Youth League activist in Kannur on February 20.
The Court has also directed the investigation team to produce the case diary in the murder case on Thursday. The Court also observed that there are contradictions in the statements of the witnesses.
The murder occurred in the outbreak of tension at Ariyil that day after CPI(M) leaders including Jayarajan and T.V. Rajesh were assaulted by alleged IUML workers in the morning.
