Good Friday celebrated with fervour

Saturday, April 7, 2012: Good Friday was observed with religious fervor by people in Kerala yesterday in commemoration of the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
People spent the day observing fasting, prayer and meditation to express sorrow over the agony of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Churches commemorated the day with street processions, enacting the Passion of the Christ in different parts of the district.
Hundreds of devotees bearing the cross and led by Bishops and Priests participated in the ceremony.
