Gold heist in Thrissur: Main accused held


Wednesday, April 4, 2012: The team led by Assistant Police Commissioner TK Thomas has arrested the main accused in connection with the midnight robbery happened in Thrissur.
The arrested has been identified as Kaja Hussain (33). 1060 grams of gold have been recovered from Hussain. 15 persons had been already arrested in connection with the case.
The incident happened on February 14 midnight at Fathima Nagar in Thrissur. The gold was being taken to be distributed to various jewellery shops in South Kerala. The masked robbers beat the driver and those present in the car after breaking the window panes and then decamped with 3.8 kilos of gold.
