Cabinet berth: CM, Chennithala meet Sonia Gandhi

Thursday, April 05, 2012: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday met AICC chief Sonia Gandhi for discussions over Muslim League’s demand for an additional berth.
Addressing the presspersons here today, Chandy said they have informed the Congress high command about League’s ministerial issue, Anoop Jacob’s ministerial post and the differences of opinion between Minister K B Ganesh Kumar and his father R Balakrishna Pillai.
The two said they have forwarded the proposals to solve the issue, he added. The High Command later directed them to take a decision after discussing it in the UDF leadership meet.
