Assault on lawyer: HC seeks report

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday directed the state  government to file a report on an alleged incident of police harassment on a lawyer based in Kochi.
A Division Bench comprising Justice T R Ramachandra Menon and Justice Babu Mathew P Joseph passed the order while considering a petition filed by P V Vibin, seeking a directive to the police to file a report on the incident.
Vibin, who was returning home after watching second show at a theatre, was brutally assaulted by the night patrolling police at Njarakkal on Saturday night. Vibin lost five teeth in the assault, the petition said.
