Actor Jagathy to be shifted to Vellore hospital

KOZHIKODE: Popular stage and cine actor Jagathy Sreekumar, undergoing treatment for multiple injuries in a private hospital here, would be shifted to Christian Medical College at Vellore in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) sources said the condition of the actor is satisfactory and he is fit to travel to Vellore for expert treatment. Jagathy who has acted in more than 1100 Malayalam movies, was critically injured after his Innova car hit a median while negotiating a curve at Panambra in Malappuram last month. He was on his way from Thrissur to Coorg in Karnataka, the location of director Lenin Rajendran's latest film 'Edavapathi,' when the mishap occurred. His driver was also injured seriously in the accident.
