14 injured as pyrotechnic shells explode

KANNUR: Fourteen people were injured, six of them severely, when pyrotechnic shells (Kathina) exploded at the Kappatukavu near Kapad, about ten km from here, under Chakkrakkal police limits today. Police said while the six who suffered serious burn injuries all over the bodies were admitted to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital, eight others who suffered minor injuries were admitted to a private hospital here.
