League will intervene in Ganesh-Pillai row if needed: Muneer

Sunday, 15 January 2012: Social welfare Minister MK Muneer said that Muslim League will intervene to resolve the differences between R Balakrishna Pillai and his son K B Ganesh Kumar.
Muneer also said that the Muslim League can interfere if needed. He added that the rift may not affect the UDF ties.
The Kerala Congress (B) Chairman R. Balakrishna Pillai and his son K.B. Ganesh Kumar (Minister for Forests & Environment, Sports and Cinema) have publicly started a war of words with each other on Saturday.
The committee of Kerala Congress (B), a constituent of Congress-led UDF, presided over by R. Balakrishna Pillai, has expelled Ganesh Kumar from his position as vice chairman of the party.
Party leaders criticised the style of functioning of the Minister. The Minister was not keeping in touch with the party workers and informing them of his engagements at various places. He was also not consulting the party on important matters.
Some leaders even went to the extent saying that Ganesh Kumar has not done anything good for the party and the party does not need such a minister. Balakrishna Pillai also criticized his son.
