Asst Grade: Syndicate decides to annul appointments

Monday, 09 January 2012: The Kerala university syndicate has decided to cancel all appointments made to the assistant grade posts in 2008 as per the Lokayuktha order.
Earlier in its order Lokyuktha asked the varsity to cancel the appointments due to lack of transparency and corruption in appointments. The decision was taken after a voting process.
In the voting, 11 UDF members voted in favour of cancellation and 8 LDF members voted against cancellation. A CPI member did not attend the meet. VC and Pro-VC took an impartial stand. The varsity will inform the HC to remove those appointed to 149 posts. The final decision would be taken by the HC.
