Sabarimala pilgrim dies in road mishap near Thenmala

Saturday, December 31, 2011: A Sabarimala pilgrim hailing from Tamil Nadu was killed when the vehicle in which the devotees were travelling lost control and overturned near Thenmala on Saturday morning around 5:30 am.
The deceased has been identified as Kalimuthu, hailing from Sivaganga. The accident occured near the Thenmala police station limits.
As many as 10 people were injured in the accident. They were going to Sabarimala from Sivaganga for Ayyappa darshan. According to police reports, overspeeding was the reason for the accident.
