CBI claims breakthrough, says Maderna gave orders to kill Bhanwari

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claimed breakthrough in the Bhawari Devi case on Monday.
According to TV reports, CBI sources said that Bhanwari Devi could have been killed on the orders of former Rajasthan water resources minister Mahipal Maderna and suspended Congress
MLA Malkhan Singh Bishnoi.
Prime accused in the case, Sahi Ram Bishnoi, was allegedly paid money by Maderna and Malkhan Singh to kill the nurse. Sources say Bhanwari Devi's body was burnt and thrown in the Indira Gandhi canal.
According to CBI sources, Maderna hired Sahi Ram Bishnoi as Bhanwari Devi was blackmailing him on the basis of the CD that allegedly features her with Mahipal Maderna in a compromising position.
Sahi Ram had surrendered in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan on Friday morning and sent to police custody till January 2.
Mahipal Maderna is in judicial custody till January 6.
Bhanwari Devi went missing from Jodhpur on Sep 1.
