THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A youth who reportedly teased a 13-year-old girl was beaten up by the girl’s father and his relatives at Vailikada near Ambalamukku here on Saturday.
The youth Mahendran, hailing from Munnar, has been admitted to Medical College Hospital. He has 12 stitches on his head and a heavy swelling beneath the right eye.
According to the police, Mahendran who had been residing in the city has been working as a plumber and it was during his work at a home at Vailikada that he reportedly teased the girl on Thursday. The girl told her father about this and when Mahendran came for work on Saturday he was confronted by the girl’s father and was later badly manhandled. The girl’s father Sajan has also filed a complaint against Mahendran for teasing his daughter.
