Treasure should have been kept secret: ’Deva Prasnam’

Tuesday, August 09, 2011: The signs gathered through the three-day ‘Deva Prasnam’, the astrological examination to ascertain the Lord’s will, which began at the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple Monday implied that the treasure should be kept secretly.
The signs drawn from ‘Thambula Deva Prasnam’, held by a panel of leading astrologers led by Madhur Ranganatha Bhat, showed that the treasure will never be lost.
Another inference drawn through the ‘Deva Prasnam’ was that the treasure should be kept in the temple itself.
The ritual would be completed on Wednesday and its findings would be announced officially, temple sources said.
The members of the royal family, to which Lord Padmanabha is the family deity, have often emphasised the importance of ascertaining the will of the Lord about recent developments like the inventorying of the huge wealth hidden in the vaults.
The Supreme Court recently set up a five-member panel to scientifically evaluate the treasures. The panel, headed by Director of National Museum C V Ananda Bose, had met here last week, drawn up a work plan on how to go about their task
