Earlier the report by central agency stated that there are anomalies in the creation of the state sites. In last December, 17 sites were hacked and a group named `Pakistan cyber army' is suspected to be behind the same. After 10 days, the sites of local self-governance department were hacked. In this the cyber security agency of the central government, Computer Emergency Responds team –India gave warning to the state government. As per the same, the team formed by the state government, Computer Emergency Responds team-Kerala would do the security auditing.

The sites were easily attackable as many of the government agencies, which have the responsibility of creation of sites, gave the contracts to other private agencies. The basic information of websites created by these agencies is being stored in servers in aboard. This is the main cause of security threat.
