Rice@ Rs 1 per kg from tomorrow, says Minister

Friday, August 26, 2011: Food and Civil Supplies Minister T.M. Jacob today informed that the distribution of the rice at Rs 1 per kg scheme for the below poverty line (BPL) families would begin from tomorrow onwards.
Speaking to the reporters here on Friday, Minister added that there was no confusion whatsoever regarding the scheme. As part of the first phase around 20 lakh families would be supplied with the rice and during the second phase 32 lakh families.

Horrible act by the short sighted politicians in Kerala &TN. For some votes and power, this criminals are making the peole good for nothing lazy donkeys. In our village, many families r getting 20kg rice like this for .rs.2/-. Now they r not going to work and all agriculture is stopped in the entire area. Even paddy fields r converted to rubber plantations. Even rubber tapping, no one is there to do. From where the money came for this criminal waste, when Govt is in debt which our generations can not clear??. Shame on you Mr.Minister, the party& the assembly!!! History will not forgive you...
