No need for Chandy to quit: Chennithala

Monday, August 8, 2011: KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala on Monday said that there is no such situation which warrants the resignation of Oommen Chandy as Chief Minister.
Speaking to the mediapersons in Thiruvananthapuram, Chandy said that they would face the probe and Chandy had already faced two probes in palmolein case.
An order for re-probe was issued during the regime of LDF government and it was during LDF regime that vigilance submitted the report. The report ruled out any hand of the finance department.
No evidences were found against Chandy and the order for re-probe has been issued without any evidence. When asked about LDF demand for Chandy to quit as head of vigilance department, Ramesh said it is the Congress which decides who should handle which department.
