Thrissur: A silent fast would be observed as part of Hiroshima-Nagasaki day to protest against harmful effets of pesticides and nuclear hazards. The protest is being organized by Janarogyaprsathanam from August 6 to 9. Environmental activist Medha Patkar would inaugurate the protest.
On August 6, Thayat Balan would administerthe oath to the protestors. Medha Patkar too would participate in the strike to protest against center's stand on endosuflan. Dr Sukumar Azhikode would preside.
On August 9, Swami Agnivesh would deliver a message on the concluding day.
