League leaders trying to sabotage ice-cream case: Rauf

Saturday, August 20, 2011: KA Rauf, co-brother of Industries Minister PK Kunhalikutty on Saturday alleged that some IUML leaders are trying to sabotage the ice cream parlor case.
He said that IUML leaders, including the present PWD minister Ibrahim Kunju came to meet him as per PK Kunhalikutty’s direction.
At first IUML leader CVM Vanimel came, as a mediator to hush up the case and a higher official in private channel is a witness for the same. Then came Ibrahim Kunju and they met at a hotel in Ernakulam, Rauf said. Showing a CD, he said he had recorded all the incidents.
Third time Prasad Master who has close association with Kunhalikutty came to meet him. Rauf said he informed about the conversation to ADGP Vincent M Paul then.
After meeting VS in Thrissur on the other day, Prasad master called him and asked about topics of discussion. He said to media persons that he discussed only ice cream parlor issue with VS. Every citizen has the right to meet VS as he is the opposition leader.
Rauf alleged that Kunhalikutty has personal grudge with Justice Nizar who probed the Kasargod riot. Kunhalikutty once asked Nisar to help cover up the ice cream parlor case, Rauf said.
