Kunhalikutty should quit: Chandrappan

THRISSUR: CPI state secretary CK Chandrappan has demanded Industry Minister P K Kunhalikutty’s resignation in the wake of revelations of IUML’s involvement in the Kasargod riot. “If he is not resigning himself, the party should evict him from the ministry,” Chandrappan told mediapersons here on Friday.
“As India is a secular democratic country, someone who had supported a communal riot should not hold a post in the governing body,” he said.
He also said the LDF wanted Oommen Chandy to resign as Chief Minister following the court order in palmolein  case.
"The stand of the Opposition in the Vigilance inquiry against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is not what Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had said.” Kodiyeri had stated that Oommen Chandy should resign his Vigilance portfolio in the wake of court order.
