August 19, 2011: The UDF government will enact a law to control the mushrooming financial institutions in the state, Finance Minister KM Mani said here Friday. The move is in the wake of innumerable complaints against financial institutions which vanish all of a sudden after collecting money from the people. Another bill to regulate realtors involved in building of apartments is also on the anvil, he said.
The government expects to introduce the right to service act too this year, said Mani. With this the government machinery will have more sense of responsibility, he said.
The government is also planning to bring changes in the state lottery prize structure, said Mani who was speaking at a meet the press organized by Kottayam press club here Friday.
