Chief Minister send letter to Speaker : Finance bill

Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, August 2, 2011: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today send a letter to Speaker G Karthikeyan asking him to examine the voting visuals during the enactment of the finance appropriation bill in the Assembly.
Chief Minister also requested Karthikeyan to consider the convenience of Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan for the scrutiny of the visuals. The opposition had earlier alleged that the ruling party members had cast bogus votes when the vote-on-account was called for passing the finance bill.
Even though the Bill was passed amidst pandemonium, Opposition LDF cried foul alleging that the ruling coalition did not have the majority to pass the Bill.
