Absconding girl found dead in forest


Mananthavady: A college student, who was absconding from Padinjarethara, was found dead in the Appapara forest. Anitha, 20, daughter of Vishwanathan Nair, was killed and police held two persons Naser, 36 and Gafoor, 32 from Pladinjarethara in connection with the murder. It is said that the accused brought the girl to the forest, had sex with her and later killed her. He fled with her jewels.


According to police, Anitha was in love with Naser, who came to her house for digging a well some time back. Anitha, who went to her college in Mananthavady on August 13, was found missing. Her relatives had filed a complaint later. When the probe was progressing centering around Nasar, he disappeared. When police had a tip off that Naser reached home, a police team led by Vaithir CI MP Premadas arrested him . Later Naser showed them the body of Anitha in the forest. Naser said he killed Anitha by strangulating her. They reached Appappara via bus. Sulochana is Anitha's mother and Aneesh is his brother.
