Power tarrif may be raise by 57 Paise

Friday 3 May 2011: The KSEB may have to increase the average tariff on a unit of power by 57 paise to bridge a revenue gap of Rs.887.81 crore provisionally estimated by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission for the year 2011-12.
The commission, chaired by K.J. Mathew, delivered its order on KSEB’s petition on ARR and ERC (Aggregate Revenue Requirement and Expected Revenue from Charges) for the year on Thursday. The KSEB will now submit to the commission a proposal to wipe out the estimated revenue gap for the year.
