Wednesday, June 15, 2011: State Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today opined that an all-party meeting will be held on June 24 for discussing the issues relating to the illegal land encroachment in Munnar.
The meeting was in the wake of a report by State Revenue Minister Thiruvanchour Radhakrishnan which stated that large- scale encroachment had taken place in Chinakanal area at Munnar, after his visit to that area.
Speaking to the reporters here on Wednesday, CM informed that an invitation will be send to Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan to attend the all-party meeting. Government will take over the encroached land, he added.
