Missing woman's Boady found in Alappuzha

The body of a man that was found inside a car near Thottappally canal has been identified as that of Maniraj, 34, who had gone missing along with his wife Nisha from Thursday. Nisha’s body was recovered from Thottappally spillway yesterday.
According to the police the car in which the couple was travelling might have lost control near the Thottappally spillway and would have fallen into the canal. Nisha and Maniraj hail from Ochira in Kollam. Maniraj had arrived from the Middle East a week ago to return with his wife and son later this week. They had gone to Ernakulam for shopping after dropping their son at a relative’s place.
The couple’s last call to their family was at 10 pm on Thursday night saying that they had reached Cherthala and is on their way back home. After that the phone was switched off.


 ALAPPUZHA: One of the bodies of the couple reported missing in suspicious circumstances while proceeding to Ernakulam to purchase things before flying to the Gulf, has been recovered. The body of Nisha (30), wife of Maniraj (34) of Ochira was found floating on the Thrikkuni River. Their relatives recognised the body but Maniraj is still missing.

The couple had on Thursday left for Ernakulam to purchase some things. Maniraj, working abroad reached the state a week before to take his family along with him.

The couple’s relatives told police that they had left for Ernakulam to purchase some things. The couple had left their daughter at Nisha’s place in Changakulangara. The couple’s last call to their family was at 10 pm on Thursday night saying that they had reached Cherthala and is on their way back home. After that the phone was switched off.
