Wednesday, June 08, 2011: The Kerala High Court has given permission to the Christian Self Financing Engineering Managements to levy fees that was prescribed last year.
The High Court also stayed the Muhammed Commitee recommendation prescribing the fee of 2007-08. The order comes when the Court was hearing a petition filed by the Kerala Catholic Engineering Management Associations.
As per the Court order, the management can levy a fee of Rs.75, 000 and Rs 1 lakh as deposit. The Muhammed Comittee had recommended Rs 40,000 as fee and Rs 75, 000 as deposit.
