Keralite woman constable shot dead in Darjeeling

Wednesday, June 22, 2011: A Keralite woman constable of Paramilitary force was shot dead under mysterious circumstances at Darjeeling in West Bengal. She has been identified as A.R. Remya (24), daughter of Ajayan-Rema couple of Neyyattinkara.
The incident happened on Sunday. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide. The body was handed to her family after post-mortem at Military Hospital. Remya is one of the twin daughters of Ajayan and Rema, the other being Reshmi who is married.
She has a brother, Arun, who is an engineering student at Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Remya’s relatives alleged that there is something mysterious in her death. Her body will be cremated with full military honours.
