Friday, May 27, 2011: The Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (Milma) on Friday decided to stick to its earlier proposal to the government to increase the price of milk by Rs 5 a litre.
The Director of Dairy Development Department had earlier stayed the decision of Milma to hike milk price.
Earlier, Milma Chairman PT Gopala Kurup pointed out that the production cost has gone beyond control and hence left with no option but to go for a hike in the milk price. He added that they are not concerned about if the government approves the decision or not.
